Making a contract with us
When you place an order with us (www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk) you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email confirmation that we have received your order.
Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will send a further e-mail you to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us. This email we will also confirm an estimated timescale with regards to delivery time. (As stated on individual items)
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or there is a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. You will not receive a secondary email confirming the lead time of your order and there will be no contract between us.
How to place an order
You can place an order via our website www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk following the prompts given or by contacting us on 0845 519 8589.
Once you have placed an order you will be contacted via e-mail within 24hrs (or next working day) with details of your order and further information.www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk will store your data securely and it will not be handed on to any third parties.Alternatively you can place an order over the telephone or in person at our showroom. PaymentAll good must be paid for prior to delivery - payments can not be taken on delivery. You can either pay for it all up front (taken immediately) or pay a 10% deposit with the balance taken before delivery. Leaving A Deposit - VIA SAGE PAY IF YOU CHOOSE TO PAY A 10% DEPOSIT WHEN PLACING AN ORDER, YOU ARE THEN AGREEING FOR US TO AUTOMATICALLY REQUEST, VIA SECURE PAYMENT PROVIDER (SSP) THE REMAINING BALANCE OUTSTANDING AGAINST YOUR ORDER WITHOUT PRIOR NEED TO NOTIFY YOU OF THIS TRANSACTION. THIS WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE CARD USED PREVIOUSLY, UPTO 14 DAYS PRIOR TO DELIVERY.PLEASE NOTE: DELIVERY WILL NOT BE ARRANGED UNTIL THE BALANCE HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL.WE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY EMAIL WHEN THE FINAL PAYMENT HAS BEEN TAKEN.
We offer a 2 man delivery service to the room of your choice as standard. (Please see our delivery charges page for full details - UK Mailand Only, deliveries to the Channel Islands are by pallet only and costs from £50. Please call for quote)
Some smaller items, if bought individually may be delivered by a 1 man courier service which is only delivered to your door.
Deliveries outside of the Wirral, Chester, North Wales and Liverpool area will be delivered by a specialist delivery company. They will contact you directly with you by telephone/Text or Email to advise of a delivery date. (Delivery can be between 7am and 9pm) This is usually 3 or 4 days prior to when they will be in your area and it will be a set date as advised by our delviery company. The day before delivery they will contact you by text, email or phone to advise of a three hour time slot.
All items featured on this web site are normally delivered to the customer within 7- 49 days of purchase. In all cases delivery quotes are not guaranteed but should be regarded as a guide to the anticipated waiting time under normal circumstances. If you order more than one item with different lead times the order will be delivered as per the longer lead time.
Time of delivery is not of the essence in these terms and conditions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to any unforseen circumstances which is outside of the control of www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk.
Goods delivered by the delivery company will be placed in the customer’s preferred room, provided that reasonable access is available. Items are delivered boxed and or wrapped. Our delivery drivers do not unbox/unwrap items but will place the item in the room of your choice. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the furniture they purchase can pass through the doorways, hallways, rooms and staircases to the room of their choice. In the event of restricted access the delivery staff will leave the goods at the nearest convenient point for the customer. If goods are rejected on delivery due to access issues then a charge of £45 will apply to any refund due.
Partially assembled items will need to be assembled by you the customer. Legs may need to be attached or wardrobes may need to be assembled. This is to reduce shipping costs but more importantly to help facilitate delivery. If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly by contacting us on our telephone number 0845 519 8589.
ALL SHORTAGES AND/OR DAMAGES TO PROPERTY MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 24 hours, Furniture Plus Online Ltd can except no responsilbility for any shortages or damages to property reported this period days. We deliver your goods to the address you provided to us at the time of placing your order. In the event you arrange for our products to be taken outside the UK Mainland, we will only be able to organise, exchange/return for a UK address only. We will not be held liable or responsilble for any costs incurred by the customer for the exhange/return of any faulty/damaged items shipped to or from the UK mainland.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are not there to receive your order as arranged, an additional charge of £45 will be required in order to deliver the order again. All items are delivered boxed and are not unwrapped. If you refuse to take delivery of an order due to the item(s) being boxed/wrapped then a charged of £45 will be deducted from any refund due. This will be classed as a missed delivery and will be charged accordingly.If delivery has been arranged with our delivery company, but you are unable to take delivery as arranged, you must notify us or our delivery company of this before noon the day before delivery is scheduled. Delivieries cancelled after 12pm the day before will be chargeable at £45.Please take into account before purchasing our furniture that once items are dispatched from our warehouses to our delivery company, a return charge of £45 will apply if the customer cancels. Therefore it is essential if canceling an order to let us know immediately to avoid unwanted items being dispatched.
Returns, Refunds and Your Right to Cancel
Under the distance sellers act you have the statutory right to return any products you have purchased within seven (7) working days after delivery for any reason. Products must be kept in the same condition as when purchased in the same packaging in which they were delivered and unused, see below for further details. N.B. For hygiene reasons mattresses are not covered by our returns policy. In addition to your statutory rights we have extended our refund period to thirty (30) days after delivery. Products may be returned for any reason including if you simply change your mind.
In order to return a product please contact us in writing or email (email@example.com)within 30 days after delivery. This however Excludes Pine Furniture. You will then be entitled to an exchange or a refund from us which will be paid within Thirty (30) days of the items being collected. Items must be kept in the condition in which they were purchased (ie Unused) and in original packaging. Items requiring assembly must not be assembled in any way or will not be accepted back. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if any item is deemed to be non re-sellable. If you do decided to cancel your order within 30 days from delivery the only liability you have is the return charge of £45 per order. Therefore in the event of you returning your goods you will receive a full refund minus just £45 which is the cost to come and collect your goods. UK Mainland Only. If you wish to exchange your order for another item there will also be a charge of £45.
A refund will only be made after the furniture has been collected by our delivery company and will be processed within 30 days from the date of collection.
Items will be checked to make sure they are in the same condition as when delivered to you and any damages will be deducted from any refund due. After the thirty (30) day return period has elapsed we will not accept returns on any items.
Return of Pine Furniture
We will not accept returns or exchange items if the wrong finish, colour or style has been chosen by you the customer. We cannot be held be responsible for customers trying to match up to existing pine furniture whether from Devonshire Pine or any other manufacturer. Pine finishes are often updated and may not match existing pine which will have darkened over time, the new pieces will however darken over time and blend.
Refunds - Damaged/Faulty items
If we deliver incorrect or damaged goods, or in the event that you discover any defect in the goods for which you require compensation or other remedy, you must report the defect within 7 days of the date you receive them, or as soon as possible thereafter by emailing us. Any defects or damages must be reported to us within 7 days and we must be emailed images/photos of the damage/fault within the 7 working days and before any return, repair, refund or replacement is carried out.(firstname.lastname@example.org) As per the Sale of Goods Act; if an item is found to be damaged on receipt of delivery but only considered as a minor fault or damage by Furniture Plus, we may insist on the item being repaired first by our specialist repair company or exchange the damaged area of furniture. (i.e. drawer, shelf, etc). However, if you are not 100% happy with the repair work undertaken, you are still entitled to a full refund or an exchange.
Please keep the products purchased in the same condition that they were received and retain the original packaging in the condition it was provided. We reserve the right to refuse return of items should the original packaging not be available to allow the safe return via our carriers. If we receive the goods back with us and they are damaged due to them not being repackaged sufficiently in their original packaging we will charge you for the reduction in value. Should it be deemed impractical to offer a replacement, redelivery or re-selection of any damaged or faulty items we reserve the right to offer an allowance against a repair, or alternatively a refund for your purchase.We will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from repairs attempted by you or third parties.We will not accept any returns (including damaged items) on self-assembly items which have been assembled - please fully check your item prior to assemblyMattresses are currently not covered by our returns policy. We will repair or replace damaged goods however, for hygiene reasons we cannot offer returns for any other reasons.Furniture Plus Online will not be liable for any damage or loss caused by the 3rd party carriers within your property.It is your responsilbility to cover any carpets or flooring which may get marked as a result of the delivery.If we find the item not to be damaged or faulty as described, a deduction of £45 will be taken from any refund given in order to cover the cost of the collection.
Variation of Terms & Conditions
www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time and without notice. You will be automatically bound by these modifications when you use the site, and should periodically read these Terms.Terms & Conditions may vary when purchasing a product via our showroom - please ask in store for further details.
