As long as the order is returned in the same condition it was delivered in and in its original packaging we will refund the full purchase price.

This doesn’t affect your statuary rights.

Is there a charge for delivery?

Delivery charges are £29 per order and not for each item.

How will my order be delivered?

Furniture is delivered fully boxed to the room of your choice by a two man crew, who are trained in handling furniture.

Can I trust your delivery timescales?

When Furnitureplus gives you a delivery quote it will be correct 99% of the time. We're so confident of our delivery, that if for any reason we are more than 21 days later than the quoted timescale; your contract with us entitles you to cancel your order and have a full refund.

What if my order is damaged when I receive it?

While we strive to ensure that the products sold are of the highest quality, occasionally goods are delivered damaged. Simply inform us in writing, either by email (sales@furnitureplusonline.co.uk) or post within 14 days of receipt.

Typically the resolution is one of the following:

  1. Exchange of the damaged item or part as applicable, free of charge. Again all relevant packaging must be retained and the returning item repackaged as it was delivered.
  2. Cancellation of part or all of the order. In this case you must retain all parts and packaging and make the goods available for collection in the state they were delivered. We reserve the right to refuse returns or to charge you our fees and expenses if the product is received otherwise than in accordance with these requirements.

I need some parts for my furniture?

Please send an email to sales@furnitureplusonline.co.uk with details with regards to which parts you require.

Can you change the wood stain or dimensions of the furniture?

Furnitureplus is unable to make any changes to the furniture. We are happy to talk to you about the style you would like to see if we stock anything similar. We would not recommend changing the finish to any furniture purchased from us and we are not liable for damaged caused by doing so.

Why hasn’t my wardrobe/bed/table been delivered fully assembled?

Due to the size and weight of our wardrobes and other large items of furniture they are difficult to manoeuvre. This presents a risk of causing damage to property or injury to persons. To minimize these risks, large items of furniture are often partially dismantled for delivery. They are designed to be partially dismantled, this does not detract from their quality, it does not make them ‘flat pack furniture’ and it is a practice that top quality furniture makers have been using for over a hundred years.

Can I get some help with my flat pack furniture?

You will be able to find local companies in the yellow pages which may be able to offer a service.

Alternatively Flat Pack Amigos provide a high quality nationwide furniture assembly service for anyone who cannot or does not wish to assemble the furniture themselves.

See http://www.flatpackamigos.co.uk/ for a link to their website.

Please note that Flat Pack Amigos is an independent company and has no connection with www.Furnitureplus.co.uk, other than the fact that we recommend them.

Where does your furniture come from?

All of furniture we provide is handpicked from some of the top manufacturers across the world. Most of our furniture is sourced from the United Kingdom, Asia and North America.

What do I need to know about owning wooden furniture?

Unlike plastic or metal furniture which is cold and impersonal, wooden furniture has variations in grain, pattern colour and texture that make each piece as unique as your fingerprint. It is a natural, organic material and continues to react to its environment long after it has been harvested from the living tree.

Wood will exhibit variations in colour, grain pattern and tone within individual pieces of furniture and between different items of furniture from the same range. This is not a fault but a natural characteristic of the material. Wood will also change colour as it ages. Again this is not a fault but part of the inherent characteristics of the material.

It is not unusual for wooden furniture to crack or split as the timber settles; this happens more frequently with waxed furniture and is completely normal. If you are concerned that the split may be excessive (more than 2 or 3mm wide, for example) then please send us photographs. Wooden furniture will also swell in damp conditions and shrink in hot, dry conditions. Please do not subject your wooden furniture to areas which attract strong sunlight and heat such as conservatories.

Waxed furniture requires regular wax treatments to preserve its appearance. The wax is merely a coating on bare wood, and as such the wood will exhibit shiny marks where the wax may have been rubbed. This is natural and unavoidable. No wooden product is entirely stain or heat resistant, although a lacquered product offers slightly greater protection. Avoid spilling liquids (including toiletries or beauty products), or placing drinks directly onto the furniture.
