Delivery Information

FREE DELIVERY ON ORDERS OVER £1000

Delivery service is available throughout mainland UK. All orders have a delivery charge of just £29 per order, not per item - BUT IS FREE IF OVER £1000*. If you have access to your own transport you are welcome to collect your furniture from our furniture warehouse on the Wirral.

Please note: If you are not there to receive your order as arranged, an additional charge of £29 will be made to you in order to deliver the order again.

Delivery of your furniture

Furniture is delivered to the room of your choice by a two man crew who are trained in handling furniture. Once your purchase is ready for delivery, our delivery contractor will be in contact with you, by telephone or email to arrange a suitable delivery date and time slot. (This is usually 3 or 4 days prior to when they will be in your area).

PLEASE BE AWARE: While the upmost care is taken when delivering each and every item. It is the responsibility of you the customer to make sure walls and flooring are adequately protected/covered at the time of delivery. Furniture Plus Online and associated delivery partners accept no responsibility to damaged caused to your property as a result of your furniture being delivered. 

Please Note: Smaller items may be delivered by a 1 man parcel courier. Courier deliveries are between 9 am and 5pm; you are not telephoned before delivery. If no one is in when they arrive they first contact your neighbours, failing that they leave a card so you can arrange another day and there is no charge for this. Furniture will be placed in the first available space inside the premises. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the furniture they purchase can pass through the doorways, hallways, rooms and staircases to the room of their choice. In the event of restricted access the delivery staff will leave the goods at the nearest convenient point for the customer.

Delivery timescales

When you order your furniture we will be in touch by email straight away with details about how long your furniture will take to arrive with us from the manufacturer. As soon as it arrives in our warehouse, it is passed on to our delivery company for delivery to you. In general the majority of furniture arrives at our warehouse within 2-6 weeks of the order being placed (please refer to your order for your particular quote).

Please note: We tend to deliberately exaggerate the time scale in order not to mislead you the customer.

Please refrain from telephoning us until the full delivery time quoted has passed – we only follow up orders that are behind schedule and we will contact you if your order arrives sooner than expected.

Packaging & Waste

All packaging and waste is the responsibility of you the customer. We recommend the packaging to be recycled where possible. All local authorities have facilities for disposal of packaging materials.

Inspection

In order to keep our prices low we do not inspect the furniture before or on delivery. We will simply replace any item for any reason for free! All we ask is you contact us within 7 days to advise of the damage and to repack the item in the original packaging to prevent any further damage to the item(s). WE ARE CURRENTLY THE ONLY INTERNET COMPANY WHO OFFERS THIS SERVICE!

PLEASE NOTE: If the item is not in the original packaging we will charge you £29 to collect the item.

Please also note: Knots are completely natural and are not considered to be a defect - Sapwood in oak (light streaks or areas which are the part of the tree which transports nutrients) is also completely natural and is not considered to be a defect.
